The 2016 Bridport Hat Festival, Bridport, Dorset

"You're doing what?" blurted one of my AWSCreate clients who I've been consulting for, "I'm going to the Annual Bridport Hat Festival."

I couldn't wait, it's an excuse to catch up with my nearest and dearest and celebrate the heritage of our family business - T.Snooks Outfitters and Hatters which was established by my great grandfather Theophilus Gideon in 1896.

Also, I couldn't wait to see little Tuppence! If you follow Apollo and Aura's Insta you'll have seen lots and lots of images of little Tup Tup - my Aunt modified her Cupid Collar from the wedding and attached it to a vintage silk fascinator, we entered her into the Best Hatted Dog competition and she won best Puppy! It was a proud family moment!

But, at heart she's a pub dog, much like myself. So we bundled her into my little African Basket and headed up from West Street to Barrack Lane, passing the beautiful pastel terrace homes.

She was utterly content, peering up and watching as we made our way towards the Tiger Inn.

With overcast skies above, I chose my favourite BKLYN Concepts beanie, I'm a brand ambassador for BKLYN and utterly love their range of fur bobble hats. I couldn't stop telling everyone I met about them!

We continued through the town, I was so excited to catch up with CiCi and her partner Jordan.

We pulled up a chair outside the Tiger Inn which is owned by our friends who run a gorgeous B&B - I was going to book to stay there for the wedding in Bridport but the BBC had blocked booked for the team filming Broadchurch on the nearby cliffs - the cheek

Being back in the West Country of course you must try all the local ciders, and we did.

We sipped, chuckled, and utterly loved each moment catching up.

While little Tuppence on the other hand, snoozed in her little basket, happily surrounded by family...

Ah Dorset, you beaut, you, until next time...
