Flowers in La Bergelliere

While the house was quiet, apart from the sound of a dive or grunt from the tennis courts, we got to work preparing the house...

Over dinner that evening, the plan was simple, murder. We'll get to that later though, for now we had a few things left to prepare for...

One of the preparations was topping up the flower centrepieces, so Tuppence and I got to work

With the help of Apollo of course to sense that we were safe from Ladybugs...

Phew, just as well he was there to help...

The dogs walked close as I chose the loveliest looking and fresh scented flowers...

It was almost as though they knew something was going to happen later that evening as we all gathered at the Chateau for dinner...

Tuppence simply couldn't bare the thought of any more close encounters and trotted indoors into her bed in the kitchen.

Also, the smell of Andrews Mothers cooking was pretty enticing...

I finished up with a few stems of beautiful hydrangeas from the walls beside the house...

So luscious and rich in beautiful colourful depth...

The flowers looked lovely amongst the bridal bouquets which Katie had put together.

Outside the sun was dipping low towards the horizon...

With the tables set, place cards laid, and murderer chosen, all that was left was to character up and ring the dinner bell...

And so, the murder mystery began...

"To meet the dinner guests for my son Clive's 60th birthday - he drives a Rolls Royce and enjoys shooting don't you know - I took my time being an 80year old successful author with a collection of diamonds that Louisa my carer showed great interest in I took I stairs with care...

... phew, just as well I had my walking stick, I could have fallen to my death... "

"Right troops, dinner time..."

Mwah ha ha ha haaa
