Last month, attempting to yurt in the Hidden Valley, Westwood appeared yielding a mug of nettles. Ever since my first encounter with nettle tea, I've been a complete enthusiast. Except for the whole fear of getting stung while cutting thing, that's less fun.
I tend to go for two to three leaves, picked with industrial gloves and long scissors. Then washed under cold water to eradicate any eight legged critters - still whilst wearing industrial gloves.
What kind of human first decided to drink this concoction, I don't know. However, I do know that it's actually quite a pleasant taste and is pretty awesome in terms of aiding digestion. Thank you to the first human who decided to boil these beasty leaves, your innovation is appreciated.
