Breakfast Chia Seed Bowl

If you drop by the loft at the moment, chances are that a chia seed bowl will be in the making...

To say I'm obsessed is an understatement,

Breakfast bowls, lunch bowls, pudding bowls, you name it I'll make it, and wolf it down.

Today, we're going to make a breakfast bowl, grab your spoons and lets get started...

It's pretty easy to make, the main thing to remember is to overnight the chia seeds.

  • Chia Seeds: I cover 3 tablespoons of organic seeds with 200ml of almond, hemp or oat milk and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. That way, the seeds become thick and gelatinous.
  • Frozen fruit: For a thick sorbet esq consistency frozen bananas and strawberries work well. Use one banana and a handful of strawberries.
  • Chopped fruit and mixed nuts

Got your ingredients?

Let's go!

Grab your frozen fruit and blend until smooth...

Keep blending until smooth and creamy...

Once smooth, add in the overnighted chia mix...

Then, blend again...

Until lovely and smooth...

... then serve up

...and now the fun part...

... top with your favourite fruits and nuts...

Oh my gosh, these are so good!

Tuck in and enjoy!
