Christmas Biscuits

We have always had a skewed approach to breakfasts. Breakfasts weigh high in our family, and it's certainly the most important meal event of the day. After waking up with a bit of a tequila head, breakfast was a subtle and slow situation.

Somehow and organic spread of fresh breakfast ingredients didn't seem enough. So we made some biscuits as breakfast pudding but most importantly to gift to Andrews beautiful nephews...

Momma found a great recipe on pinterest which we vaguely based the on...

To make around a dozen gingerbread guys and gals...

Contains:

1 cup of organic cane sugar

125g butter

Teaspoon of crushed ginger

Teaspoon of cinnamon

Half a cup of self rising flour

One duck egg

A generous helping of cocoa powder

A few sprinkles of shaved milk chocolate

Mix up the dry ingredients bar sugar in a bowl...

Add the butter to the sugar and set on high to mix...

Crack in the egg...

Add in the rest of the dry ingredients...

Dump the mixture on greeseproof paper and start rolling out...

Get Momma's muscles involved...

Flatten and utilise cookie cutters to create woodland creatures on a tray. Then pop in the oven at 180 for ten minutes or cook until, browner.

Then spoon full of icing sugar!
