Talent close to home

Hello sugar snaps,

I hope you've had a fabulous day so far. I'd love to rant about mine, but I'll save the expletives for another day! Too busy to moan, which is a blessing in disguise I'm sure.

Okay, so as you all know I'm certainly not a born and bread Shropshire Girl, but for now, this is my home. I'm loving tweeting locally at the moment and earlier today, after submitting one of my MSc assignments, I found that alot of these local Shropshire lovelies have utterly gorgeous websites and are fabulously talented.

First off, I can't get over Lizzie from the Merry Magpie's amazing thrift finds. Her website is gorgeous and her style is so like mine, I adore the below image from her website. It's of three prints from the 1700's that she picked up while thrifting. I'm in awe! And oh my gosh, her shop is amazing, all her gorgeous items make me wish for year round summer afternoons!

Let's talk about our local fashionista's too. Good grief, looking through Aimee's Posts over at We Have Obsessions is like looking through my own flickr! She's a great photographer and a fabulous lookbook.nu girl. I can't get over her penchant for images of pink silk dresses hanging in windows and images of the Eiffel tower in her room!

Another fabulous fashionista has to be B from The Fabric of Her Being, she's utterly fabulous, it's such a relief to know that there are fabulous people living locally, I get scared when I see uggs and tracksuits.

There's also so much crazy creativity going on in this county, Sarah from La-De-Dah is so talented! She makes the most gorgeous paper items, and reading through her website gives me a hankering to put pen to paper as opposed to an email!

Another fabulous fabulous paper crafts girl is Vicki Jane from Artcadia. She is amazingly inspired, and the cards below are stunning. If I ever need some gorgeous invite cards, I know where to look.

More crafting goodness comes from Carlyann over at  Sweet and Crafty  again, another fabulous talent around here, I just can't get over some of her designs! I'm certainly ditching Hallmark cards for these local talents!

I've also come across heaps of fabulous other blogs including Imagine and Anything Can Happen which is an utterly fabulous read, Tayla May is a fabulous writer, and she's so young too! I'm crazy impressed! Also, there's Wine in the Afternoon, wow, enough said! Fabulous writing and inspiration. Want some great top life and business advice, well Jan Minihane is the person to go to, and her blog is jam packed with amazing posts. Marmite and Banana Sandwich is another great read, I adore Rachel's beautiful layout!

Okay, start talking about food and I'm putty in your hands! Eleanor from Flowers in the Kitchen is a fabulous cook and maybe sometime we could get you local lovelies together for a bake night. I shotgun being test monkey and trying the delicious goodies, obviously to ensure that they are up to standard! Oh gosh, then Sarah K is another all round wonder! Her Blog, The Good Life is filled with so many wonderful recipes and antics. The muffins below are from her blog, they look utterly delish!

All of these links and more are located just down this page on the left under "Shropshire Lovelies" I suggest you have a peep through. Shropshire girlies, you guys have astounded me at how crazy creative you all are, and what's fantastic that there's all this talent so close to home. "Foreign" readers from outside the county, are you aware of such fabulous websites close to your home?

If any of y'all would like to keep up with all my inspiration posts, you can check out my tweets or follow via blog lovin' or google friend connect. If any of you are thinking of having a bake or crafts night, give me a hollar because my belly and Canon 5D would love to get involved with some awesome local websites!

Have a fabulous eve,

xoxo
